Algo indudable es que aquí en Tales from the North somos amantes del cine, entre Loke, Ximbal, The Cat y un servidor tenemos una colección bastante respetable de títulos de todas las eras y géneros, y aunque no siempre tengamos dinero para ir al cine, siempre disfrutamos reunirnos a ver un buen DVD o una proyección (hasta hemos organizado noches de cine abiertas al público), además de que siempre tratamos de estar al tanto de las más nuevas noticias y anuncios.
Un año más ha pasado para el mundo del cine y la Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas de nuevo ha entregado el galardón más respetado en la industria.
Más allá de comentar cada película por separado me dispongo solamente a poner la lista de ganadores junto con los que fueron nominados en la misma categoría.

Y así termina la noche, con Tom Hanks anunciado el premio a Mejor Película, sexto Oscar de The Hurt Locker, de manera exabrupta y apresurada, seguramente para escapar de James Cameron después de sus 10 años de idealizar Avatar, colocando a The Hurt Locker como la gran ganadora de la noche.
Por último diré que era bastante obvio que Avatar ganaría el Oscar a mejores efectos visuales y que Up ganaría la categoría de mejor película animada.
